"I'm a North Wales Published Artist, with a degree BA (Hons) Fine Art, studied at Glyndwr University, Wrexham. I produce original drawings, signed and numbered limited edition prints and gift cards, as well as commissions. I am privileged to display my work in galleries, exhibitions, fairs and gift shops in North Wales and Cheshire, as well as the Channel Island Guernsey.
My preferred medium to work in is pen. This accentuates the finer, more delicate design components in my drawings, using purely black and white. I approach my drawings loosely or intricately in definition, to highlight and emphasise the lines, forms and textural details.
My artwork contains memory, both collective and personal. My interest in buildings, architecture and harbours first began and flourished after spending some time in the Channel Islands, in particular, the charismatic island of Guernsey. I enjoy studying places that have such charm and character, with something that 'little bit different' about them, and take much inspiration from my travels abroad. My ultimate passion is for my work to be unique, individual, expressive and to creative an impression of a narrative.
Recent places I have studied include Chester and Conwy. Their recognised, architectural treasures exude much character and personality, boasting numerous and varied characteristics, presenting different challenges for me when approaching each piece of work and enabling me to study different perspectives.
