Masterclass statement - Deepbridge Chester Arts Fair 2015
Deepbridge Chester Arts Fair 2015
'I work from memory, both collective and personal. I take much inspiration from buildings that have such charm and beauty, and where their recognised architectural treasures exude much character, personality and varied characteristics.
During the live art demonstration, I will explain the process and starting points of my work, whilst also sharing my fine art skills, ideas, inspirations and techniques with my preferred medium of pen and ink.
I will explain my set of skills which requires much continuity of my practice, in order to achieve further growth and mastery of my artistic, narrative expression.
I will communicate my ambitions, intentions, contextualisation and refinements, as well as my strengths and weaknesses, and areas to further develop my work.
Towards the end of the demonstration, I will show how a versatile and creative mind can embrace the opportunity of such practice to innovate and experiment, which further develops my unique individual qualities of my work.
I will also give the audience an opportunity to create their own work in a collaborative and democratic environment, enabling participants to create a piece of work based on what they've learnt from the demonstration.'
